The tea plantations stretched across the hills like endless green waves under the bright blue sky. Sitting beneath the shade of a tree while overlooking the plantations became one of the most peaceful moments of my trip.

A mystical turquoise crater lake covered with sulphur gases sits on the summit of Mount Ijen. Surrounded with beautiful bare, skeleton trees and morning mist painted the summit from another planet.
